Mrs. Sandra Britton is the Head of the Energy Unit at the CARICOM Secretariat.
She has more than 27 years of experience in the field of energy, at both the national and regional levels. Mrs. Britton has served in various senior positions during her tenure at the Guyana Energy Agency and the Office of the President. She also served as Project Manager for the development of the Caribbean Sustainable Energy Roadmap and Strategy (CSERMS) at the CARICOM Secretariat.
Throughout her career, she has made significant contributions in various energy related matters. Mrs. Britton has served on various boards and committees both at the national level and in LAC, providing valuable input on topics related to energy, climate change, and environmental management.
She holds a MSc. in Sustainable Energy Development (University of Calgary), PGC in Environmental Management (University of London) and a BSc. in Management (University of Guyana). Ms. Britton is also a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance (Frankfurt School of Finance and Management).
